 Talk to a professional who can help you sort out the best resorts for you.   All-Inclusive resorts can get a bad reputation from travelers as walled in compounds too removed from the culture of a destination.  While it can certainly be that for someone who desires it I feel they can be one of the best ways to avoid the usual stressors on vacation.  Where are we going to eat? How do we get there? Who's doing the cooking/cleaning up in a rental?  What do we do when the kids are bored or we just want some time alone? At a good all inclusive you have great food, SPA facilities, activities for kids already paid for when you arrive.  Take the extra time you have to explore the area outside the resort knowing everything is already taken care of when you return. Good isn't the same to everyone.
